TEACHER TRAINING APPLICATION
Fall Session 2009

PRE-REQUISITES

You must satisfy (A), (B) and (C) to be admitted to Teacher Training:

A:  Minimum Six (6) months of regular Bikram Yoga practice at an affiliated studio

Students with home-practice only, contact Shelly@bikramyoga.com


B:  Letter of Recommendation from the studio director of the affiliated studio where you have satisfied (A) requirement

C.  Minimum 21 years of age

If due to extraordinary or unique circumstances, you are unable to satisfy the above prerequisites, you may submit a written description of your situation for consideration to Shelly Kompel, the Teacher Training Registrar, at Shelly@BikramYoga.com. 

All of our affiliated studios are listed on our website.  Please click here to see if the studio is affiliated.  Be aware that misrepresentation regarding the extent of your Bikram Yoga practice may constitutes grounds for dismissal from the Teacher Training or non-certification as a Bikram Yoga teacher.

1. ONLINE APPLICATION
Fill out this online application in detail.  Print the application before clicking the submit button.  Send the printed application in with the other items requested. 
 
2. MEDICAL CONSENT AND WAIVER (download)
Obtain the signature of a licensed physician on the attached Medical Consent and Waiver Form certifying that you are physically capable of enduring the rigors of the entire Teacher Training session.  Please make sure your doctor's name and contact information is legible.
 

3. TEACHER TRAINING AGREEMENT (download)
Please read your teacher training agreement.  You must abide by its terms.  Initial each page after reading and then sign in the space provided.  Make a copy for your records.  Please return the entire agreement with your application.
 

4. LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION (download)
Must be signed by your affiliated BYCOI studio director (who is a Bikram Certified Teacher) that you've practiced with for at least 6 months.
5. PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION
Send us 2 clear copies of your passport or copy of your drivers licence.
6. 2 PASSPORT size PHOTOS (please no copies)

7. PAYMENT

Make checks payable to Bikram Choudhury. If paying by credit card, please complete the credit card information on the Teacher Training Agreement authorizing your credit card payment to us.
