Sara found her way to Bikram yoga after years of rugby, weightlifting and running had left her with two herniated discs and debilitating back pain.  Faced with a choice from her doctors between surgery and a lifetime of cortisone shots, Sara chose Bikram yoga instead.  With just the 26 postures, she was able to return to a pain-free life.  She has been inspired by her own recovery to share this healing, truly amazing series and not just because she can now tie her own shoes.

Prior to attending training in Spring 2003, Sara worked for years in Special Education with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.  She continues to work to connect youth to yoga. She has been amazed at how well her high school students were able to connect with themselves and others through their practices even in the midst of personal crises.
